After a great sailing weekend, our competitors would like to share some of their impressions from this event.
Thanks to all teams that joined us and helped in creating another great event!

Despite relatively small number of boats, the Slovenian national championship turned to be a great fun for our crew (but I sincerely believe also all other crews taking place in regatta).
The level of performance on the water has increased significantly, it was real fun to see all boats coming together on the mark, there was enough breeze on both days to have a competitive and fun racing.
The final surf downwind in the last race was a cherry on the top of the cream which brought enough adrenaline and unforgeable memories.
The 2nd most important component of the race is a social program and this one was great again. I hope to see more boats next year.

I will start with saying: what a fun weekend of sailing we had with a really tight racing and to make it even more challenging the wind made the race course really tricky with a lot of small puffs and shifts. We managed to won 3 races with really great starts, for two races we were 2nd and that was more than enough to win the regatta and Slovenian Championship…in the last race the wind picked up to more than 20kts so we also had a spectacular last downwind with max speed of 14 knots. Hope to see everyone back after the summer break at next event in Izola.

As a senior sailor at 63, I really enjoy one design sailing for it provides more excitement than sailing big boats. During the last few years great competition gathered in Seascape18 class, therefore all of us must give our best to keep others behind. For me, it is an excellent recreational sailing so I am glad to join races with different crews. This was my third Seascape race and I will be glad to join again. It would be wonderful to have more Seascape owners joining Seascape events, for, in my opinion, it is always nicer to sail among others. Thanks to Seascape and organizers for supporting one of so few one design communities in Slovenia.

Looking back, we are very satisfied with our sailing and results this weekend. The wind conditions were excellent, pretty demanding sea and a great conclusion – Volvo plaining during the whole last leg of the final race! True sailing pleasure on excellent boats, tough competitors on the racing field which, as always, after crossing the finish line turn into great cheerful companions with whom we had (another) nice weekend.
See you next year in Portorož!
