At the end of the month, the First 18 SE Class fleet will gather again in Portorož for the start
of the Monocup 2023 sailing season.
To bring crews back up to racing temperature and to help new teams learn how to trim and
helm the boat to sail fast, Porta Sailing is organizing a 2-day training camp that will take
place in Portorož on March 30th and 31st (Thursday and Friday). The training course will
include overview of the basic theory of trim, setup and tactics, but make sure to offer you as
much sailing and coaching on the water as possible.
Right after that, the racing season is set to get underway in Marina Portorož with Porta Cup
on April 1st and 2nd (Saturday and Sunday). The first regatta of the season will also count for
the MonoCup 2023 sailing Series which will be renamed to Alpe Adria F18SE Cup. Notice of
Series will be published next week.
Both events are organised with support from Marina Portorož and Segelwelt.at.
Registrations are already open, NOR published and with more than 15 boats already listed (Entries)
the season opener promises great racing on the water and excellent company ashore!
